The SEADITO project supports the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters” (Mission Ocean) by advancing the European Digital Twin Ocean (EU DTO), a key initiative under Destination Earth (DestinE) aimed at creating a high-precision digital model of the Earth. Funded under Horizon Europe (HORIZON-MISS-2023-OCEAN-01-8), SEADITO develops analytical methods and tools to enhance decision-making through social-ecological models. It focuses on Ecosystem-based Management, integrating interoperable and DTO-compliant decision-support components based on FAIR principles. Case studies in the Baltic Sea, North Sea, Mediterranean, and a Pan-European study provide real-world testing for multi-actor processes, with components and services co-designed with user communities. The SEADITO Explorer, an interactive spatial platform, facilitates testing through visual demonstrators and a Scenario Toolkit (WIST), while tailored learning materials engage young researchers, decision-makers, and the public.
