Coordinator, Trinity College Dublin, is the top ranked University in Ireland, and its School of Engineering leads numerous EU and national projects.
Professor Basu has been involved in and led several FP7 and H2020 projects, including coordinating three projects: SYSWIND - FP7, NOTES – FP7 ICONN - H2020). He is an established academic (h-index 50, citations 9000) with extensive experience in grant management (grant income > 5 million). He leads TCD’s Ocean Education and Research Group. He will be joined by Prof Poul Holm (Marine History) and Dr Charles Travis (Expert in GIS). TCD will lead WP1 and WP2, using their expertise on modelling to develop socio-ecological models (with input from DUTH, ILVO on mechanistic ecological modelling and IBM on graph theoretic approaches) and collaborate with HEREON on social modelling (WP3).
Trinity College Dublin will bring expertise on Graph theory, Qualitative Mathematical Models, Mathematical Physics, Environmental History, Oceanography, Historical Data and provide vital information for the use cases (WP5) including conducting mathematical analysis for all use cases.
